A rembrance of old times, and days of carefreeness.

After the rains

When the rains had come and gone
We went down to the river
Cool shade under tall trees
Smell of damp leaves
Lying on the riverbed
Hiding from the hot midday sun
Digging on the river bed
Removing the river sand
Brown water dirty and muddy
The treasure herein hidden
And beneath that
Ohh the taste of eternal sweetness
The taste of rainwaterClean, clear and pure
